  • The TBC journey began in 1970 with about 20 people meeting in a small temporary shed at Ramachandrapuram, Jalahalli in the city of Bangalore.

    At Telugu Baptist Church our focus is Jesus and our love for Jesus reigns supreme in our lives. We believe that Telugu Baptist Church is not the work of a man, or an organization or a denomination, but it is the work of the Spirit of the living God.

    We are committed to sharing Christ with people from all walks of life and reaching people of all nations with the redeeming love of our Lord and Savior — Jesus Christ.

Commencing from our home city of Bangalore, we desire to become a church that reflects the love and power of Jesus to cities, towns, and villages around the world.

Telugu Baptist Church is primarily a family church, ministry training and equipping center. We desire that each member matures toward Christlikeness and builds strong, Christ-centered relationships with other members in the body. We desire that many men and women of God be raised up in the church and be released into their ministries locally within the church, to our city, to the nation, or to the nations of this world.

Our endeavour at Telugu Baptist Church is to share Jesus with people, establish them in His family, enable them to celebrate His presence, mature them into Christlikeness, and equip them for their God-appointed ministry through HIT&MT [ Honey Institute Of Theology & Ministry Training ] .

In the year 2020, Telugu Baptist Church celebrated its 50th Anniversary.

Doctrinal Beliefs

  • HOLY BIBLE:
    The HOLY BIBLE is inspired Word of God and without error in the original writings. It is the complete revelation of God’s will for the salvation of all people and is the final authority for a Christian. 2 TIMOTHY 3:16-17

    GOD:
    There is one GOD, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons : Father, Son and Holy Spirit. GENESIS 1:26

JESUS CHRIST:
JESUS CHRIST is true GOD and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary to die on the cross as a sacrifice for the sin of humanity, buried, then arose again ascended into heaven according to the scriptures. 1 CORINTHIANS 15:3-4

HOLY SPIRIT:
The HOLY SPIRIT’s ministry on this earth is to glorify JESUS CHRIST, convict all people of sins, and to indwell, seal, guides and regenerate the believing sinner. EPHESIANS 1:13-14

God created innumerable ANGELS to serve him but some of them disobeyed and God punished them and they are now working against GOD, they are known as FALLEN ANGELS. Therefore, God created MAN in the image of him for His Glory. But because all people have SINNED, they are separated from God and need a saviour from their sins. Only through believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins, can a person have their sins paid for and SALVATION. ROMANS 10:9

The true CHURCH (universal) is composed of all such persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ will return personally, both bodily and visibly, and his return is imminent in that it could happen any time in FUTURE. ACTS 1:11

All people will be resurrected from the dead and the believer or true Christian goes to everlasting life with the Lord, and the unbeliever goes to judgement and everlasting conscious punishment. REVELATION 20:10
